With a focus on neuroscientific research, neuropsychotherapy is an integrative approach to therapy that considers the dynamic interaction between the mind, body, social interaction, and environment on a person's well-being. It is thought that a holistic treatment approach can be developed by comprehending the workings of our biology (and in particular, our neurology), the procedures of our psychology, and the effects of social contact. As some people interpreted the term "neuro psychotherapy" to refer to a particular therapeutic method or procedure, which it does not, we have moved away from it in recent years. A psychotherapist has been referred to as a "neuropsychotherapist" (not to be confused with a neuropsychologist) (either an eclectic or founded in any number of theoretical schools).
